We had a discussion on the music we were going to play in January today. We came up with the following possibilities for symphonic pieces:
1.) Les Miserables
2.) Selections from Cats
3.) Phantom of the Opera
4.) 007 (seriously!)
5.) Harry Potter

Among others...I'm desperately looking for Pirates of the Caribbean to play...no luck so far though. Guess I'm gonna have to look online. Hopefully we can finalize the program within the next week. Chamber music wise, I've got nothing for my kiddies other than a couple of movements from the Carmen Suite. Haha...Habanera's so much fun to play...and conduct. :D

I was on the bus today and I was just observing a group of deaf/mute people signing at each other. I have to admit I was rather interested at how this worked because for the first time, I noticed that it's not only the hands that talk, but it's also facial expression. At times, I could tell one guy was joking because he put out his tongue in a comical manner and sure enough, after a series of motions, his friends started laughing. I find that I enjoyed listening to these people laugh because...I don't know...I find that it's one of the true feelings they can still express very well, even with their physical challenge. This man had a very delightful, booming laugh that you can't help but smile at when you hear him. Maybe I'll take up sign language in school if I have time...it's a good thing to know.

Other than that I slept the day away because I had to wake up so early to get to that meeting this morning haha...I'm just waiting for Boston Legal to come on now. Later all.
